Kaysville Real Estate

The City of Kaysville

Kaysville is a small town located in Davis County of Utah. The town was first created in 1847 by Mormon settlers and was mostly occupied by farmers. The current mayor is Steve Hiatt, the youngest mayor to have ever been elected in the state of Utah. They currently have a population of nearly 30,000 residents.

Amenities

The Cherry Hill amusement park is one of the town's primary attractions. It originally opened in 1967 as a campground. They later installed a variety of water attractions for summer campers. The camp eventually grew into a much larger business, adding miniature golf, trampolines, rock climbing walls, a concert hall and other family friendly activities.

The town also is home the LeConte Stewart art museum with landscape paintings of the deceased artist. The USU Botanical garden offers outdoor activities including fishing, biking trails and an outdoor farmers' market. The town is also near the East Mountain Wilderness Park, which provides access to Thurston Peak and Francis Peak.

Education

The citizens of Kaysville have access to several elementary schools in the area. Kaysville Elementary School and Endeavour Elementary School are both great schools that receive positive online reviews. Centennial Junior High School is the best junior high school in town to send your kids after elementary school.

There are quite a few options for high schools in the area. Davis High School is the most populated one in the area. Jefferson Academy is a very reputable charter school that many locals recommend.

Real Estate of Kaysville

The housing market has been rapidly increasing in recent years. In 2016, the average home value went up by 8.4 percent. It is expected that the prices will continue to grow in the future.

Zillow has assessed that the average home value is $284,000. The average homes that are listed online are asking for between $300,000 to $500,000 and there are rarely homes cheaper than that. Renting a 3 bedroom family home in the area would be $1500 per month on average. Smaller homes or apartments will cost at least $800 per month.
